Our Curriculum Consultation Services

OUR CURRICULUM CONSULTATION SERVICES

We specialize in developing social emotional curriculum for high school students and adults, with a focus on first-generation, low-income, and/or students of color. Our support encompasses an outcome-based curriculum as well as a number of scaffolding and teaching strategies that directly benefit these groups. As these students and adults have specific needs that aren't usually covered by traditional education, it is our responsibility to collaborate with dedicated educators, like you, to offer them the extra help they need to succeed.

  • Equipping Students with Social and Emotional Skills
Taking the bold steps to address the unique challenges in learning can appear overwhelming, but Triple B Associates LLC can assist you in creating a better learning experience for youth and adults within your community. Maybe your organization is dedicated to positioning first-generation college students—from marginalized communities—on the path to success. Maybe your organization or agency is invested in making remarkable and measurable differences for underprivileged or underserved students through the use of innovative, engaging curriculum. Or it could also be possible that you have been tasked with developing a framework that benefits the racially and socially marginalized student populations. Our social and emotional learning curriculum will take your students through a variety of topics and concepts in an approachable, engaging, and relevant manner to position them for success.
  • Personalized Learning for Racially and Socially Marginalized Communities
Schools, organizations, and educational agencies must strive to meet the needs of students from sensitive populations as our country continues to become more diverse. Black and Latinx learners, as well as those living in poverty, frequently have lower levels of achievement, attendance, and graduation rates than other students. Schools and organizations serving students from diverse communities frequently struggle to find effective, innovative curriculum to support the needs of their students that can’t be found in textbooks. Navigating life without the unique resources and support that they need is truly a recipe for disaster. Effective social emotional education, according to research, has the ability to increase student engagement and reduce negative classroom behavior, two important predictors of who will succeed and stay in school.
  • The Backward Design for Social and Emotional Learning
Triple B Associates LLC develops curriculum using the backward design process and high-quality evaluations. The backward design process involves determining the desired outcomes, goals, or learning objectives for a tailored learning program. We create efficient assessments based on the targeted learning outcomes and build activities that support and enhance the students learning experience.

Our Curriculum Development Process:

There are four basic steps in the curriculum development process:

1. Assessment/Planning Session of Needs
2. Content Creation
3. Modifications
4. The Packet of Approved Curricula

Curriculum planning and development typically takes between one to six months or more depending on the scope of the project. Every collaboration begins with a brainstorming session. We encourage our partners to attend follow-up meetings to ensure that we are all on the same page throughout the process.

Depending on the request, a typical planning session might involve the following:

  • The overall expected program outcomes (including time frames).

  • An outline of major content focus areas (as specific as possible).

  • The draft of objectives for each content area.

  • Suggested instructional strategies for each content area.

  • A draft outline of the training program agenda (including tentative blocks of time for each content area).

The completed curriculum package includes all of the elements required to deliver the program to the intended audience. Master copies of all lesson plans, teacher or facilitator guides, exercises, and visual aids such as PowerPoint slides would all be included in a comprehensive package.
